1. What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?

CBD is the non-psychoactive compound naturally found in the hemp plant. CBD treats will not get your pet high, and they may have a multitude of benefits.

3. What is the difference between the treats and the oil?

Fortunately, all of our products will deliver the same USDA organic CBD goodness to your pet, however, the vehicle of transportation, whether it’s our biscuits or tinctures, is up to you!

For many customers, the biscuits are great place to start because they are affordable, dosing through a treat is more familiar, and pets love them. These can also be a great tool if you are only using CBD for your pet every once in a while, or curious to see how CBD can help your pet.

On the other hand, our oils, also known as our tinctures, can be a great option for those who are more familiar with using CBD. With the oil, it is easier to administer and adjust to a more precise dose. Additionally, our tinctures are our most cost effective option, making them a great choice for multi-pet households, large breed owners, and daily CBD users.

At the end of the day, either option can be great for your pet! If you are still feeling uncertain about which product is right for you, please don't hesitate to reach out at info@suziespettreats.com or (720) 576-8151.

4. How much CBD should I give to my pet

We recommend starting with 1 mg per 10 lbs of body weight, split into a morning and evening dose. This is a conservative starting point and you may need to adjust the dose based on how their system responds. Some things that can affect dosing are age and metabolism. They cannot overdose on CBD, so feel free to adjust the dose until you see the desired results. You know your pet best!

5. How should I administer the CBD oil to my pet?

When using our oil, the most common way to administer the CBD is to mix it in with your pets' food. For faster absorption, you can administer the oil straight along your pet's gum line or under their tongue. For pickier pets, you can also drop the oil onto a treat your pet already enjoys.

6. Can pets overdose on CBD? Did I give my pet too much!?

Don't panic, you cannot overdose on CBD. If your pet does consume a large quantity of CBD, they may experience loose stools or lethargy.

7. My dog is on medications, is CBD safe to use?

There are very few known interactions with CBD and prescription medications. However, if your pet is on medications, it is always best to consult with a holistic vet prior to starting CBD. While we are unable to offer medical advice, we recommend checking out our vet page for more resources.

8. When will I see results?

For most pets, you may see effects begin between 2-7 days of dosing twice daily. Every pet is unique, so you may need to increase your dose until you see the desired results.

If you are only dosing every once in a while, you may need to use more than 1 mg per 10 lbs.

9. What are your shipping policies?

Our shipping is $5.95 and arrives, on average, between 3 to 5 business days from when you receive your shipping notification. However, shipping can occasionally take up to 10 business days.

If you have not received your order OR updated tracking information after 10 business days from your shipping confirmation email, please reach out to us at info@suziespettreats.com and we would be happy to assist you.

10. Is your product full-spectrum or isolate? What is the difference?

All of our products contain full-spectrum CBD oil! Full-spectrum CBD contains the full plant's benefits, along with other cannabinoids, which work in synergy to make the CBD as effective as possible.

Isolate is often seen as an inferior form of CBD as it goes through the extraction process several times so that the only portion of the plant that remains is the CBD molecule itself. Many people may choose to stay away from isolates as they are not as natural as full-spectrum CBD and do not offer the same wide array of benefits that one can receive from a full-spectrum product.

11. How is your hemp grown?

Our hemp is grown on our USDA Certified Organic partner farm in Northern Colorado. We never use pesticides, but rather lady bugs as a means of pest control to ensure our products are safe and healthy. Every fall, the Suzie's team heads up North to help harvest the hemp by hand so that it can make it into our products for your pets!

12. What is your extraction method?

We extract our CBD using food grade organic ethanol. Ethanol is an efficient and safe solvent made by plants, for plants. Therefore, we believe it is the best method at preserving the natural constituents of the plant. We are also proud that our extraction method is considered sustainable because we can recycle the ethanol and no residual solvents remain the final product.

13. How do I know your products are what they say they are?

We third party lab test every batch of our products! These tests show potency, levels of cannabinoids and residual solvents.

We would never sell anything we wouldn't take ourselves and sending our products out to be tested helps ensure that quality.

Additionally, all of our ingredients come to us with a certificate of analysis so that we can provide exceptional quality and purity in our products.

14. Where do you make your products?

Suzie's is proud to be vertically integrated, meaning we have a hand in every step of the process in producing our product. Starting at our USDA certified organic farm in Northern Colorado, to our manufacturing and shipping at our warehouse in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, we help ensure our product is handled with love and care during every step until it makes it to your furry friend.
